    Although I usually only use Japanese, I found JUNNA’s spoken English to be naturally understandable. I will continue to support JUNNA as she thrives on the global stage.

    Good morning from the US! This was a surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one. 😊 Thanks for the English cover of The Ancient Magus Bride's first op. I loved your voice from the moment I first heard it.

    Totally didn't expect to be on this remarkable first episode🤣 Thanks for having me and it was my first ever live podcast ^%#!*$& Sorry if I sound very amateur here...
    AND OMG JUNNA CASUALLY DROPPING A SELF COVER OF “HERE” IN ENGLISH AT THE END🤩🤩🤩Definitely hope to see JUNNA touring to more countries and anime conventions in future! (She has just announced to visit Santiago, Chile on Feb 8, 2025!!!)
    Just a side note:
    JUNNA mentioned she tried vegetable 莼菜 (local water plant from West Lake, HangZhou) while touring in China, which coincidentally has the same Chinese pronunciation as JUNNA 🤣

    JUNNA-chan! What a wonderful surprise indeed. Greetings here from the Gold Coast, Queensland in Australia. We hope you (and maybe Walküre too haha) can visit us here (we have the largest Japanese community in Australia) soon (we can arrange through The Japanese Society of Gold Coast). Like you, lots of Japanese want to learn English over here and we would like to learn Nihongo too.
    Being a musician as well, we can also jam as I love rock too and have been playing lead guitar just like you. We will have an awesome time! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
    Now, maybe you can give us an insight into how you see yourself evolve in the anisong universe. You certainly have the musical prowess to succeed and sustain it.
    Many thanks for giving us the gift of your voice and mata ne! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

    In my opinion,“May I have your name?” is better than “What's your name?” What do you think about it y'all? Btw I'm fully Japanese and I'm still studying English and other languages as well

    • @chrisbergsten1429
      @chrisbergsten1429 Месяц назад +1

      "May I have your name?" is pretty formal and most English speakers today wouldn't use it unless they were working in customer service. "What's your name?" is fine for casual conversation, but the way Junna used it was a little awkward. In this case, she might have said "tell me your name and where you're from" (or, because she's doing a podcast and she has an audience, "tell us your name" or "tell everyone your name").
      Your English is better than my Japanese! 日本語を勉強した。でも忘れちゃった。
